Gonana means to ‘embrace’ in isiZulu, and embracing our surroundings is what we’ve done. Supporting local artisans and small businesses while encouraging our guests to do the same.

Beautiful stay. Pet friendly. Everything you need for self-catering. Not on the beach, very partial sea views. But, less than 1-minute walk to the beach. There is only 1 row of houses in front of you that separates you from the beach. Would definitely visit again. A gem.

The view from our room was just stunning with the beach a walking distance away. Breakfast couldn't be better. The host was attentive and went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Perfect Stay!
To experience Paternoster this is probably one of the most fantastic places to do so. Beautiful guesthouse with an ocean view and direct access to the beach. Lovely rooms, friendly staff, a very well stocked "honesty" kitchen and bar and a delicious breakfast!
